The new e-commerce manager wanted to separate the IT Zone into two parts, one for small office and home office (SOHO) and one for business to business. It was decided the current IT Zone would serve as the SOHO, and the Corp zone would need to be developed with a focus on news and products that serve IT business. I was given the task of developing the new Corp Zone, while maintaining the look and feel of the other Zones.
I coordinated with the online product manager, the advertising manager and the business to business liaison to determine what functionality and content should be added. We worked to establish the best and most appropriate content that would meet our target consumer needs, and discover what functionality was needed and wanted.
I again used HTML, DHTML,
JavaScript and CSS to develop the templates for this site. I then integrated
these templates into the Zones catalog system which is based on XML and
BroadVision. The design concepts were mine,
restricted by the need to keep consistency between zones. (This
site design has been slightly amended since I left Zones)
